remote login failure after 5 days of uptime

My firewall was up and running for the last 6 days.  On the 4th day of running, i was unable to remotly login.  I tried for the last few days to login until I finally rebooted today.  I got right in after that.

Any ideas what could be the cause?

    Hi drez,

    please give us more information about your ASL. Which Version, Hardware, etc.
    What also would be interesting are snippets of your lofiles where information about your failed login tries are shown.
    Did you try to log in via WebAdmin or ssh? What kind of error did you encounter? Did you get an answer from the service, but your password did not match, or did your ASL not respond in any way?
