thats it. i plugged it in where it says 'Ver 3 Key Here' and pressed the buton under it (register this v3 key) and it spit out a new license key. take that to your asl box.
Ugh.. OK, so I have my new license code.. but ASL won't take it! When I have my normal home use license, it says "Office", but when I try and input my new code EXACTLY the same as is shown to me by the reg system, it goes to EVAL mode =(((
Mine does not seem to work either. Plugged it in and Astaro says it's not a valid license. (This is after using the emailed power user key on the registration portal, it spat out a new key but Astaro don't want it).
First few tries it said, "this doesnt seem to be a valid license"
Soln: Click on the name of the key on the license portal, you will be directed to a new page which shows the key and details on the license. Copy that key and install it. Works now. Not sure why, they both look identical... Anyway, Power User license installed now, thanks Astaro !

Wow, thanks.. that worked. How strange is that! Mine was just switching back to Eval mode.. and now I try what you said, and it worked perfectly. I compared the two version of the same key, exact same, but one way didnt work.
I didn't have any whitespace, trust me. I was not getting an error saying invalid key or anyting, it would say "Saving License" but then when it was done it would say "Evaluation" and up2date etc was disabled.
Don't know what's going on... Logged into the portal.. pasted my key in.. Generated a key.. pasted the new key into astaro.. and it went back to the Evaluation Version!
Guys, check your system clocks. There is a timestamp in the license (registration date) and the license will not load before that date. For example if your license starts at 03.07.2002. (you can see that in the portal) and your system clock is set to 03.04.2001. the license WILL NOT LOAD and will fall back to evaluation license mode.
