How many computers do you have on your home network ?

This includes general-purpose computers not being older than 3 years (not counting the C64 in the closet).

Honest answers only  [:)]

    What do you mean, not older than 3 years!!!

    I have a 486/25 running Debian Linux that is my SSH tunnel server.  It does a nice job, thank you.  It could also run my DNS if I were so inclined.

    I do plan on decommisioning this box if I can ever get my firewall to handle SSH tunnel endpoints.

    ok, lets make it "not older that 10 years and regularly used".

    I just didn't want people to count in their various non-used vintage PC parts.

    I'll also vouch for the superstack II 3300.. they're really nice.

    1- PII-400/128MB/1GB )web/dns/ssh/odd-stuff) mandrake80
    1- PS2 (hey, it's got an IP address)
    1- Homebrew Athlon 1400/1GB/30GB XP Pro (kinda just there when we're in that room)
    1- TP A30 2652-m3u (mine, look it up, it's nice)
    1- TP iSeries 1412-412 (wife's)
    1- Gamecube (hey, it's wired)
    1- Agere/Orinoco RG-1100 WAP
    1- PII-400/256/15GB (ASL 3.2 Poweruser Licence) connected 10 the world via 3.5Mbps/800Kbps ADSL connection...

    ... not bad for a 3 bedroom appt...

    My networked machines:
    Athlon XP 1600+ (WinXP) my wintendo
    Athlon 1200 (WinXP/Linux) test machine
    Athlon 1000 (RH 8.0) homebrew tivo
    Athlon 850 (ASL) firewall
    Athlon 850 (WinXP) Wife's Machine
    Duron 900 (OpenBSD) current server -smb,http,smtp,etc.
    Tivo (basement)
    Sun 3/80 (netbsd) just because I can
    486 (bbiagent) backup firewall
    P2 233 (RH 7.3) door stop
    P3 700 (Win2k) Work Laptop

    Non-networked:
    Tivo (living room)
    P1 200 (WinME) Kids machine

    This does not even count the machines I have floating through waiting for repair or deployment to a customer.   

    Yes, the heating and cooling bill does reflect running all these machines.

    Wow I see this is a power users tool. I started with Smoothwall, moved to IpCop and now Astaro. I am setting it up for the biz I work for to evaluate for the network. At home I have the following:

    1 Windows 2000 Server PIII 733
    1 Ipaq Celeron 500 Mandrake Linux Server
    1 Ipaq Celeron 500 Mandrake Linux Workstation
    1 Dual PII 300 Windows XP Corp
    1 HP PIII 500 Windows XP Corp
    1 PIII 600 Compaq Ens (Small Footprint) Windows 2000 Worstation
    1 Amd Xp 2500+ Windows XP 
    1 Dual AMD MP 1600+ Windows 2000 Small Biz Server
    1 Amd K7 600 Windows XP
    1 Amd K7 650 Windows XP 
    1 Laptop Amd 1800+ Windows XP Home

    I need to apply for the poweruser license. I do alot of software testing in my environment before putting it into use in the corp environment. I hope I can be a welcome addition to this forum. Thanks for a great product.

    Ok guys, enough talk! Lets see some pictures! I've set up a photo gallery where you can post your SOHO setup pictures, racks, servers, comms equipment etc. How sad is that [:)]
