DNS Server

It would be really nice if I could run my domain's primary on my Astaro server.  It would save me some challenges that Win2000 AD is likely to cause me...

Is it possible?  What version of BIND, if so?

    It is not possible to run BIND on Astaro (without some major hacking). The DNS on Astaro is caching only.

    I currently forward port 53 from the outside into a Linux/BIND server I have to host my DNS info.
