Before than anything else, im a 0day-newbie in Astaro and almost a 0day-newbie in Linux and a newbie in security [:(]
I installed ASL yesterday (3.200), and works really fine (was using Smoothwall, and the learning curve its pretty steep [:(] ) with mi aDSL (dynamic IP) line, using pppOe, and such.
(BTW ASL is the fw of my pretty small LAN, only 2 win boxes, no DMZ on the ASL)
The only problem i have its setting up my FTP in a not standard port, but i think i will manage to do it [:)]
Here are the questions (im reading the 2.0 docs, but didnt finish reading them yet):
1) How do i change the SSH port to a no standard one? ex: 223 or 2200? id like to enter from outside (work) but i dont like to open "normal" ports.. are more prone to "inspection" from unwanted ppl [:)]
2) For wha i read, i should get an email warning from the ASL if some problem occur, but im getting zero emails, (after 24hs i should get at least a scan, i see many scans/day b4, using smoothwall), i have configured my "outside" email under System/Settings, and the same mail under Proxy/SMTP Relay,Under SMTP Proxy, i left "Astaro" as the default MX record, Nothing defined on Incoming routes, and my internal LAN (including ASL green eth) under allowed outbound. What im doing wrong?.. i MUST setup an internal mail server?.. in the online help, it says that external emails can be used.
