External connection

I have 3.2 installed with setting DNAT and packet filter for both webadmin and ssh.  This has been working fine and I can administer the firewall from anywhere. I am using DHCP on the external nic.

But since about 2 days now, I can no longer connect from external but can still get out and my dynamic IP has not changed. I have not made any changes whatsoever.

However, I oberserved that I can connect if the external system is on the same subnet as the dynamic IP of the external nic of the firewall. What I did was using a laptop which is not behind the firewall but also obtain dynamic IP from my ISP, and I was able to access the firewall.

What could my ISP been doing that is causing my not able to connect from others.

    Your ISP could be stopping their users from running servers on their ADSL lines. So they could be blocking incoming requests on most of the main server ports: 80, 443, 21, 25, 110 etc.
