Bandwidth/traffic shaping

Hi all,

 I return after the release of ASL 3.2 Final with the same question:
what about a bandwidth shaping tool integrated in ASL? I need to limit the max bandwidth available to certain users (you know why..), maybe on IP and/or Service base.
Do you plan to implement it in the near future?

    I was looking for the same feature, but to do so for VPN clients. We're a small ASP, and we sometimes use VPN for our clients to access our services. I'd love to be able to throttle them in the same sense that Frame Relay provides a CIR. 

    Seems like this could easily be done with IPTables rules.

    AOL :-). I don't have a console available now, but isn't the current settings high/medium/low? They don't really make sense to me. I would rather like to say that a service gets max X% of my bandwidth or an exact throughput in bits/bytes.

    Anyone knows what mechanisms Astaro have used as their BW shaping functions? If it's ipchains stuff, it should be hackable :-)
