Checksum failure in every version since 3.020

I started using ASL back with 2.x and have been playing with the 3.x betas since they came out. After 3.020 the webmin interface changed and maybe coincidentally the iso files became picky. I have downloaded the files and unziped the files with winzip, winrar, and win32 version of gzip on both win98 and win XP. Then burned the images with nero and CD Mate and both a 24x Plextor and a 4x HP burner. I even pulled the Plextor out of my PC and put it in the ASL PC, but every single time the checksums fail. 
Astaro is supposedly designed for standard PC hardware yet won't install on standard PC hardware. I had high hopes for ASL yet it doesn't seem to be building into something that I could use in any environment outside of the home. Its just not ready for prime time.

    This seems to me that your iso is brocken, did you verify the md5sum of the iso image?
    Which version of nero did you use?
    I had the same, Nero didn't burn the last 4kbyte correct, this was the error, maybe you have something similar.

    I verify both the tar.gz and .iso MD5 and they are both fine. I've tried every combination of hardware software I have available to me to burn this image and nothing seems to work right.
    Burning software:
    Nero version 5.5.4.0
    CD Mate 2.2.3.8

    CD Burners:
    Plextor 24x
    HP 4x

    OS:
    win 98
    win XP

    Its worked for me every time so far.

    I use Win32 gzip to unzip the iso
    then CDR-Win to burn the ISO. 

    I even burn onto CD-RW and it works fine.

    Have you checked that you can read the CD after
    you burn it in Windoze? It should be readable from
    explorer, the structure of the CD looks like this:

    \doc
    \dosutil
    \install
    \isolunux
    \share
    autorun.bat
    autorun.inf
    favicon.ico
    index.html
    TRANS.TBL

    With version 3.202 i have again the same problem.
    I don't understand why until version 3.x the problem on diferrents machines with a lot of try to make the best burn, rest the same again and again.
