when the $ talks higher

Hello , i "was" an astaro user and i am going to explain why :

1 - Violating licence - Astaro  releases software packages without providing their sources and 
modifications to them as required in §3 of the GNU GPL and neither seems 
to offer distribution of GPL sources for free within a 3 year period in 
a written form.
 ( Are you afraid of security bugs in you code ? )
I try first a not registred version , and then i buyed 2 licences , nobody gave-me the source code.

2 - Did you now that are at least 2 more products in the market = to astaro security linux ? only with the webadmin interface colors changed, and diferent names , and at least in 1  the licence is cheaper. ( i can get the urls later if you want i don´t have it right now here)

3 - The suport is getting worst every day , the version 3.x final that i tried it seems to me more a BETA than a final release, your perl scripts are starting to consume CPU resources like maniacs, some things work sometimes other times doesn´t ,and your new licence sucks big time.

    Yes please give us URLs to the so called similar Firewalls to Astaro.  I have done a LOT of research and I doubt you know what you are talking about.

    Also yes astaro releases there source code but NOT ALL OF IT....  Some of there vital scripting that is non GPU oriented is not open source.   Therefore hacking an astaro box is not possible.

    Besides a firewall that gets hacked isnt a firewall.

    I know one is Infoguard, who make appliances.

    As far as I know the companies that sell astaro lookalikes are actually licensed resellers who are allowed to rebrand the product to look like it is their own. Not sure about pricing, although I know Infoguard is only at 2.04 version I believe,

    I can't comment on the rest, apart of course everyone knows my opinion on the licencing  [;)] 

    However I don't agree with point 1. In fact I don't care about point 1 at all, I just want a decent product at a decent price, I don't care about the GPL and I believe that if someone uses GPL code with a separate non-gpl interface thats fine with me as long as it works and its good.

    THE SYSTEMS ARE THE SAME , IF YOU DOWNLOAD IT AND LOOK IN , YOU WILL SE THAT ARE THE SAME PRODUCTS ONLY WITH DIFERENTE NAMES AND OTHER COLORS AND CHEET LIKE THAT , hard to understand that ?

    It´s like if i get astaro , and named it to super-firewall , change webadmin colors n and put my logo on it ....
