Issues with 3.2

I've just installed the (second) 3.2, and I thought I'd post a few observations...

1. It won't boot on an LBA IDE drive. 2.x is fine but 3.2 hangs as LILO starts. Changing the BIOS drive setup to "Normal" from "Auto" fixed that.

2. I intend to use the DNS proxy, but my Internet i/f will be configured via DHCP, which means I don't have any numbers to put in the "Forwarder" list. Will ASL 3.2 automagically use the ones DHCP'd to it?

3. One of the best features of 2.x is the banner advert filter in the HTTP proxy. This is not present in 3.2! Have I missed something?

Otherwise it seems fine...

    YuppieScum,

    if you always connect to the same provider you know
    the accessable nameservers. You can enter the IP addresses
    independent from the DHCP settings.

    I know I can find them out and enter them manually, but if I knew that the DNS settings weren't going to change, then I wouldn't need to get them via DHCP in the first place...

    My point is really about the lack of integration - if you're using DHCP on the WAN i/f, why do you have to enter static DNS information elsewhere on the firewall...

    Also, any thoughts on the banner blocker? 

    To be honest, I'm about to blow 3.2 away and replace it with 2.025 again - it may not have all the features of 3, but it has the ones I want... and I'll wait to see if the 3.2 series catches up.
