Ok, after a fairly frustrating morning searching around for info on this question I have decided that the time has come to ask someone about it. I am mighty confused by ADSL ethernet modems. I've been looking into getting ADSL access and there are several kinds of interfaces on the modems. Some are internal PCI kind, some are USB and some are ethernet. As far as I can tell, they aren't routers. So you connect them by attaching a crossover cable to them and a network card in your computer. What then? Do they have an IP address, is it a public or private one on the ethernet port? How does your computer interact with them? And most importantly, does Astaro support them? Any help from someone who has one would be greatly appreciated.
