Delete old log files by cron job?

Hello,

I'm using asl 2.0 and i have a serious problem:
After some time (app. 2 weeks) there are so many log files (zipped) that my /var/log partition runs full. Up to now i deleted these files via console, but this is annoying! I tried to create a cron job but the crontab command doesn't works. I still haven't found anything in the docs.
How can i regularly delete this files automatically?

Please help me...

Best Regards
Thorsten
