mdwlog

Does anyone know what exactly /var/mdwlog is or does?

I put beta 3.050 on my box and I noticed that my /var/mdwlog file is 184MB!! Doesn't this seem too large? Whats going on with this? (I think its because of my DHCPCD issues I've been having, but is there anyway to change what info is logged?)
