Hi all - first of all let me say that I discovered Astaro yesterday morning, and by this morning I had a working version of it powering my company's firewall.  Great product, amazing how most of the features work right out of the box.  I wouldn't recommend this product to networking/unix newbies but as an experienced sysadmin I must say it's quite robust and workable.  I do have a few qualms about the setup though.  Until v3 becomes stable and I can connect the DSL directly, I'm going through a Linksys router, as set up per the posts I found here regarding it. (thanks for the setup info by the way   [:)]reat product.

    the notification behaviour is a weird in version 2,
    that is why they implemented a notification killscript. 
    (version 2.023)
    My traces tell me that  Astaro now uses a
    registered domain as sender (fw-notify.net) which 
    is resolvable through DNS. 
    Important is the admins e-mail adress, this shoud
    be reachable.
    Version 2 seems to accept only domains with three
    characters (e.g .com) as toplevel domain.
    I couldn't reproduce it with my current beta installation.

    Hope that this infos are somehow usefull :-)
