WebTrends And ASL

wait for the next version 3.X, ASL will support WELF format then, this is what you need for WebTrends.

Sorry Andy! I forgot to say, I am using ASL 3.041 (Beta) . Is that version available the generating logs in WELF format?How can I gather logs file in that format and send it to Webtrends ?

Go to the "Log Files" menu, and click on "WELF"
the description says "Download logfiles formated for WebTrends"

Dunno if it works yet though ;-)

I have downloaded  the log in WELF format, but whem I try to read that in Webtrends Firewall Center I receive the message that the file is in wrong format. 

Any idea to solve this problem?

We'll fix it in the next beta (not the 3.050 though, since the deadline for that one is already past).

i upgraded from 3.052 to final 3.2 and i get the same error ".log eather contains no data or does not contain a valid log file data........"

ps my logs where taken during 3.052 ds

Fredde, just a question... is it possible that you need to enable accounting and request a report before you can get any data?

This is just a wild guess.. I have no experience with exporting logs, but will be testing it shortly.

tnx for you response, however i have enabled accounting and i do se some info if i open it with notepad
ie

id=firewall time="2002-06-04 00:29:17" fw=freddes-fw pri=5 proto=tcp/1433 src=111.111.111.111 dst=222.222.222.222 sent=15411248

dunno if i´m missing something but it works fine with the logfiles from squid

I tryed the ASL 3.2 WELF export with Webtrends Firewall Suite 4.1a and works fine.

I've to do accounting on an Astaro 3.206...

i tested WebTrends Firewall Suite 4.1a
really good but i don't get important informations
about traffic on each interface!!

I think thats the most important thing...

can anybody help me?

ASL 3.206,  i also get a wrong format error when using Webtrends Analysis Series 7.0c.  Looks like the Analysis Series is geared for webpages..

while Webtrends Firewall Suite 4.1a works fine..
