show active users

Hello

Please tell me is there a simple possibility to have a look which users are currently connected over the firewall. 
It would be very fine if i can see whhich users have a connection from inside to outside but it is more important for me to see which users have an active connection from outside (VPN).
Perhaps it is even possible to create a logfile for that.
