hvad does the http-proxy do?

Does the http-proxy work in both directions? Does it proetect our webserver or does it only protect our clients?

Does the http-proxy provide a protection against dangerous kode in the data, e.g. code red?

Do the filters of the http-proxy look after dangerous code, e.g. in the ActiveX or in the banners or do they just deny every ActiveX script if they are turned on?

    the http proxy workes only one direction - and it doesn't really have anything to do with protection at all.
    What it does, is that it caches requests from your clients, speeding up download of frequently visited webpages.

    As far as I know, there is no content filtering in this proxy (I think it is based on a squid proxy).
    I doubt that the proxy looks for dangerous activex code, and it probably just denies all activex.
