Hi Guys! Just 2 Quick Questions:

1) I Want to use ASL at Home for my Dialup Connection. Do I need to apply for a free Personal Licence? or can I just use the asl image I downloaded.

2) can ASL be used on a dialup modem? being Linux can you establish a dialup connection and use it as a gateway as well as a firewall.

    2) ASL does not support dialup connections. There may have been efforts to hack ppp support into the distribution, but that would be totally unsupported. Search the forums for dialup and ppp
    If you are looking for dialup enabled opensource firewalls/gateways, have a look at IPCop http://www.ipcop.org/cgi-bin/twiki/view/IPCop/WebHome or 
    http://www.fli4l.de/e_index.htm

    1) You do not need to apply for a license if you are a non-commercial user, but if you have an SMTP server behind the firewall - I'd recommend buying the license for antivirus signature files updates so you can have your incoming mail automatically scanned for viruses. Works like a charm.
