what / why try astaro to connect outside ?

Hallo @all,
for the first time testing astaro, i have put the firewall inside my lan, to check the ip packets with an ethernet sniffer.
it means:

inet--dsl--router--|----|
clients astaro

I´ve found out, that astaro always try to connect outside to several ip´s. Now my question: Can you explain that ? (Pattern Up2Date is disable)

kitesurfer,

maybe it trys to deliver its notification e-mail,
therefore it connects to the configured nameserver.
If none is configured it trys to connect to the root
nameservers.

it was the same old problem >>rtfdproxies>dns> my local dns,
it stop´s with dns request. thanks to you!
