LDAP Support for user authentication

Is there any way to use LDAP server as source of user authentication for proxy and VPN services.

For the proxy you can use RADIUS authentication which as many implementation of LDAP authentication.

With the VPN you can't, but if you are willing to help me out on this one look at this topic,
