In a fit of over zealous pruning of the archived log files, I blew away /var/log/kernelpipe, which is resulting in what appear to be innocuous errors to stdout, generated by a Perl script monitoring port scanning.
It should be possible to recreate the pipe simply by using mkfifo /var/log/kernelpipe, but it would appear mkfifo is not on the system.
Any suggestions as to how I do this?
Many thanks,
Colin
