sendmail -q is for qmail = ?

How can I ask qmail to try to send the queue immediately?

    One "simple" way I've done is to stop/start (or start/stop) the SMTP proxy.

    The problem I experience is that self-generated mail hangs in the queue until I start/stop the smtp proxy. Not very convenient when I'm on the lookout for my daily e-mail backups.
