Merry christmas!

And... is it possible to run an web server and an ftp server on Astaro? Why? because im using it at home and having more machines on all the time makes to much noice, to hot in the room and so on  [:)]

    Well, then general idea of a firewall is to have as little services running as possible, spec services like ftp, but i´m sure there is a way to install it, but so in other words "dont do it"

    I'm with fredde on this one, BUT I also realise that many home users has stretched their limits when dedicating even one computer for firewall/server type of use.

    Unless Astaro is changing their focus in the future, I doubt they will make it easy for us to add this type of services to their product.

    Kazzar, I highly recommend that you go take a look at ClarkConnect, which is a firewall/server with many great features, easy installation/administration and it is package based. http://www.clarkconnect.org

    If I were on a strech regarding hardware use, ClarkConnect would be my choice of firewall.
    I love the fact that ASL is a highly configurable and stable piece of software however, and I have the option of using a different server for the regular services I require.

    Well ... been testing Clarkconnect but it does not have vpn / freeswan  [:(] 

    Other than that its a bit "unproffessional"
