Disabling Multicast

Hello,
My Astaro 2.0 sits on and ISP network,
and when i started ping monitoring my server it started broadcasting on the ISP network - and got kicked out of the swith because of high broadcast valume.

the astaro has on eth0 card the next line:
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1

and the IT manger from the ISP company says this is the line making all the trouble.

how can i disable this broadcasting from my firewall? and would it damage the functionality of the firewall if i will disable this?

Could it be disabled through a rule in the packet filter ruleset?
