    I was just gonna post about this...  Tom do you have a time frame on version 3.... or a near beta to it to try out?

    Let us know like many of us were all interested in the final product =)

    if you go to ftp://ftp.astaro.com go under beta you will find a version of ASL that has QOS in it.  It has PPPoE in it but just the chroots...

    no dhcp but you can get the hack for it..

    I been reviewing distros for installing at 6 of my clients branches. I'm down to ASTARO and MANDRAKE SNF 7.2, but I NEED URL blocking or managed content filtering. I see you have a BETA on the FTP site but this does not include this feature YET. As per a reply to a message IN MARCH you said to be "patient" ! Can you please give me an update on a timetable of when the NEXT beta will be out with this feature, this week ???, this month ???, this year ???, I'll hang in there if you can give me an IDEA of when...... thanks

    thx for the praise. We are currently work on a (very) extended url filtering for astaro security linux 2.2 - please be patient.

    If you want configure it for your own, use /var/chroot-squid/etc/squid.conf-default.

    But I'm still waiting for Dhcp support on it
    Some of our clients have cable connection to internet and need it.
    You have to try to sell them something that they can't seen  [:(]

    When is v3 comming out? i am switching to dsl and need the ppoe. i would rather just wait for the supported release then using a hack.

    Hey sjacobs did you get the PPPoE working with Masq?  If so I am having troubles with it if you can give me any ideas why?

    I am not sure ASL is gonna post a reply on this one guys they are probably behind and therefore will ignore us..   Does ANY software  EVER come out ontime... I have yet to see one
