Last 3 weeks i was trying to setup my ASL box to work.. I made more than 15 installations (thanks God and Astaro is easy & fast).
My ASL box could not access the internet, so i couldnt activate http proxy..
Saturday night at 21:00 after 3-4 repeated installations, i checked almost everything, the cables, hubs, etc.. I was sitting on my chair, very sorry for i couldnt use thsi fine product..
I was connected via a dialup line to the internet, so for the last time i tried to connecto to ASL's internet interface..
I created a new connection in my SecureCRT program, forgetting to change to a SSH2 connection.. So i made an ordinary telnet connection to ASL, which was unreachable for 3 weeks..
Then, i found that i was connected to a Cisco router, after a telephone call, in which i was yelling, they found that another customer had the same IPs !!!!!!!!!!!!!
They gave me 2 new IPs (for my router and ASL), and now i can happily use all ASL's services...
I wanted to share this fact with all of you, because of this i wrote more than 10 postings...
An advice: First hit ISP's technicians, and when they ask -Why ? you should answer: -You know why.. This is called preventiveness...
thank you all...
George
