What are you guys doing?

I've been happily using Astaro since 1.7 but it looks like I've reached the end of the line.

I did an uptodate that busted my system due to a NIC problem. I see in the email that I receive after the fact that this is a known issue.

I also happened to notice the system requirements have changed, they are much higher now.

It looks like even if I could resolve the NIC issue I am out of luck using the latest Astaro on a P75 w/ 2gig drive.

I guess there is no $ in a distro for the folks that want a small dedicated firewall.

Is there a way to do a partial update? If so how far could I go before running into problems? Are there any security issues w/ 1.8? Should I be looking for another firewall?
