Box now hoses out on boot after upgrade to 2.0

I am wondering if there is a known problem w/ either Netgear FA311 or FA310 ethernet cards and version 2.0?  I was running 1.8x just fine and after an upgrade to 2.0, the system totally hoses out saying eth1 is unknown device.

My 1.8x install cd is damaged; is there a location where 1.8 can be downloaded in the interum?

Thanks all.   [:)]

  • I guess these are tulip based cards. We "upgraded" the driver to make it work with some multiport cards. Unfortunately, this broke support for other cards. You can find a replacement module plus instructions here:
     http://docs.astaro.org/hacking/

The .txt file talks about 1.9xx, but the procedure should also work for 2.00 installs.
