hello all,
i just finished the installation of ASL 2 from an image i got from your site.
(there is a bug with English keyboard. program exits to bash.. i used the german one, pressing all ALT+xxxx characters to get the @ sign..).
I had a custom-cofigured Linux Box as a firewall..
I setup my networks (DMZ + local), all with static IPs. I have a C Class for my network, using subnets of 32 hosts..
Everything went fine, i can see the outer world, so i started creating my rules...
A colleague needed to reboot his Win2k workstation, where i first mentioned this message "IP conflict with another computer, network interface disabled".. From this moment, if a computer reboots, cant get back its IP address !!!!
I do not use DHCP, every computer has its own IP address, all connected through a fast ethernet switch.
Please help, its 21:30, tomorrow the office must get back to normal work, but i already have 6 computers, which cannot get into the network !!!! I'm writing from a workstation which a secretary left open ;((
