Sending Mail for DHCP client inside the Box

Hi,

I'm writing a script to send an e-mail whenever there is a change of IP address for the DHCP client... but I got stuck with sending the mail warning message...

I've tried qmail and sendmail but both returns errors... 

what program do you use for sending warning messages from inside the box to the admin?
