DHCP

I was wondering if ASL worked with DCHP i.e we recieve our ip of a dhcp server from our cable modem provider.

Is it possible / has anyone got it working with a cable modem provider?

Yes I have been successful with the cable modem! However, I am hoping that they will not change the IP on me.

Once you get the IP it shouldn't change but it might.

I've been running on AT&T @Home cable for almost a year now with no IP change..

My ISP has a bad habbit of changing the IP address on a day by day base. Even if I keep connected.
Does anybody have any Idea if Astaro supports that.
