Thanks Tom, but Equonix is correct in what I was really trying to ask.. Do we have to buy the license key to use ASL 2.0 beyond 60 days even without the virus protection??

There is NO 60-day timebomb.
The "legal" evaluation limit for commercial use is 30 days, but ASL will continue to work without any restriction even after that period.
Private and non-commercial users can either buy the virus scanner-only license (which will register their ASL and activate the virus scanner) or just leave ASL running like it is.
