SQL question

hi ... im trying to access an internal MS SQL server... i've already opened port 1433.. but i am still unable to connect when configure the ODBC drivers..

i've setup DNAT
pre DNAT >> astaro ext--sql
post DNAT >> internal database -- sql

packet filter rule
client service destination rule
any    any     internal db allow

this is my setup
internal database = 192.25.0.171
astaro int eth = 192.25.0.172
astaro ext eth = 192.168.0.1/24
external client = 192.168.0.2/24
astaro gw = 192.168.0.1

what else could i be missing....
i was thinking maybe i should use winsock proxy but i'm not sure..
