Wrong time?

Hi!

When I restart ASL1.820, I will get a mail about this. But when I restart it e.g. at 17:48, the mail has the time 19:48 (but the ASL-computer has set its time correctly to 17:48)! How can I change this behaviour (timezone-prob?)?

    I too find strange time behavior on time (version 1.824):
    date comand at console show a strange string:

    igw:/root # date
    Fri Aug 31 16:32:31 /etc/localtime 2001

    probably complaining the lack of timezone file /ec/localtime ?

    I didn't succeded to find timezone files in the system.

    Mail are sent with the time as is on the firewall (that is local time) but with an indication of -0000 as timezone.
    see below the Date tag from the header of a restart message:

    Date: 31 Aug 2001 16:13:08 -0000

    So the mail client convert it in local time adding two hours ( I am in CEST timezone during DST). 

    I tryed to add a proper /etc/localtime file an seemed to work.
    The problem is during boot, because the system add two hours to realtime clock (supposing the cmos to keep UCT time), while the webadmin "set system time" function write the localtime both on system and CMOS timer supposing CMOS to keep localtime.

    There is anyone that has addressed this problem?

    I believe is really important to have correct timestamps un logs and alert mails.
