Sorry, but I'm not clear what your problem is. OK, scp does not work, but scp from or to your machine? To scp TO your machine, you've got to enable ssh via System/Settings/SSH-Status in WebAdmin. To scp FROM your machine, you have got to make a paketfilter rule that allows that.
What about that allocated port? Is you sshd not running (look at "ps axufw") or is it just that you don't get a connect on that port (see above solutions)?
And about that random number generator .. what do you mean? I just can't think of any common problem you can have with that, especially involving sending? it.
