Console Lockup

I'm running 1.930 now and the console locks up a few minutes after boot. The firewall is running and I can SSH and HTTPS into it but the console is dead. I see packet filter information on the console which I've never seen before. Any ideas? I am using a Belkin KVM which ran fine with 1.8XX.

what happens if you press (several times) enter on the "dead" console?

I have a Belkin OmniView and I get the same problem sometimes. It happens every once in awhile when I use the ScrollLock-ScrollLock-0x method of switching. I have never been able to recover when that happens. (RB every time.) I have NEVER had that happen if I use the channel button on the Belkin. Go figure. Anyhow, try using just the channel button to switch and it wont lock up on you.

Nothing happens when I press enter several times. Should packet filter information be displayed on the screen?

Hi, maybe the console lockup problem is actually a scroll lock blocking the console?

Try pressing CTRL-Q to deactivate scroll lock!

It's just a thought but it might be it [:)]
