Internal network?

The company i work for has a strange range of internal ip's: 1.120.251.* . The problem is if i want to fillin 1.120.251.1 with netmask 255.255.255.0 under Definitions-->Networks i get the message "Netmask 255.255.255.0 doesn't make sense with hostroute!". But i can fillin 1.120.251.0 with netmask 255.255.255.0. And for as far i can see this also defines the whole intern network. But in the help i see i should fillin 1.120.253.1 to define the network? Is my method wrong?

hi jascha,

to define a single host, use a netmask of 255.255.255.255.

the ".0/255.255.255.0" does correctly define the whole network [:)]
