Demo not complete??

Now i allready read it for the second time but in LinuxMagazin 06/2001(deutsch) ASL is tested and there i read:"Das Front-End bietet in der Testversion leider nur eingeschränkte Möglichkeiten" what means something like that the demo(unregistered version) isn't complete. Is this true? and what funktions are missing in the Demo then? In another german linux magazine i read something the same but i think they just copied the other test. 
I am right now testing ASL and it works great.
