hi astaro team,
i've tryed the online demo from your product, it seems very nice & useful.
im using slackware for some months now, but would like to try astaro 2.0 now. i need to know if the D-Link DFE-530TX PCI (Rev A) is supported by your linux distro or if it cause problems/crashes whatever. i also need to know: can i install(compile) for example an eggdrop/bnc on astaro or is it just for firewall use? my server hdd is 41gb so i would like to store some files etc. on the box too.

hi andi,

our distro is for firewall use only. you won't have much fun using it as a shell server [:)]th slackware.

great thanks for your quick answer. yeh true i will stay with slackware.
but keep on good work with your astaro distro, i like the idea a lot and its a perfect solution for home and small company users. thanks again, greetings from vienna andreas
