TripWire?

Does ASL use TripWire or something similiar to alert if it's been modified?

BTW, I FINALLY found the 1.8 manual. I don't think there is a link to it on the main page. Also, is there a 1.9 manual?

    The 1.8 Manual is VERY new... It only came out a few weeks ago... And I should say the Astaro team did a VERY good job on it... I do not think that there is a 1.9 manual becasue the people using it will usually know what to do :-)

    The system does not use tripwire or anything else similar. Some files are monitored for changes, but that is so that the changes can be acted on - sort of reverse to what you want.

    Having said that, the idea with this system is that everything runs in a CHROOT environment, so that any intrusions are ring fenced. Also important config files (hosts files and the like) are copied in on start.

    I have got snort onto the box, but that is all
