change passwords

I'd like to know how to change the 
admin password. I'm assuming the 
loginuser and root passwords can 
be changed using 'passwd'

Also, can the loginuser username
be changed to something other than
'loginuser' Although I've restricted
all login access to my local net I'd 
feel alot better about creating a 
unique login name.

    You can change the admin password in systems > Settings.  Scroll down the page to the WebAdmin section of the page.  enter your old password then the new password twice and hit the save button next to it..

    Changing the following files can be done to change the username of loginuser

    * /etc/passwd
    * /etc/shaddow

    WARNING: I have not tried this under this linux, but it should work. Also, check to make sure you can log back in before logging out... Mistakes in this file can be a real pain to fix.

    There seems to be the facility in /etc/wfe/conf/localusers.ini for other users to act as admin, but it does not seem to work yet

    Hi zeek,

    take note of that changing something without the WebAdmin can be result in a broken Up2Date!

    Disable SSH or limit it to some IPs but please leave passwd and shadow untouched.
