How to delete bouncing mails in qmail ?

Hi guys,

i sent a mail to 8 recipients.
Two of them are not reachable this time.

Since 28 hours i'm getting 'delay notices' from my ASL.

Because the mail is about 4MB i don't want the ASL to try again and delete the mail from the queue.
(Okay, in times of Flatrates this is no size, but we do not have it yet )

1.) Where is it located ? Can i delete it in an easy way?
I searched under /var/chroot-smtp/var/... in different directories

2.) How often does ASL retry to send the mail ?

Aaaaaargh,

the ASL is still trying to send my mail, and my accouting grows and grows.

Could anybody give me a hint please ??

on www.qmail.org you can find a perl script named qmHandle, with this script you can delete single messages in queue,
by the way, I think you can be very happy, in the moment I have about 30.000 bounced Messages in queue.

Hi Karsten,

under Reports->SMTP Proxy you find the message id for this email.
Delete the directory with this id in /var/chroot-smtp/var/qmail/queue/info /intd /mess /remote /todo (as root with rm -rf ).
Version 2.0 of ASL will have a interface to handle this within the WebAdmin.

For your question 2: Astaro Security Linux try to resend your message every hour.

Hmmm. I have 86895 notification-Mails in my queue. To delete them would be no Problem. But why are they all in the queue not going out?

I set up the smtp-routes in proxies->smtp wrong. now it seems to work [:)]

I have installed ASL 2.00 and the GUI does not have any options of removing the emails from the queue. This is becoming a pain periodically this takes up the entire bandwidth on my 128K test ISDN. Any suggestions
