Which linux for students??

I would like to know what linux is user friendly I would like to set a small network at my school and get the kids involved in it, I do realize that that i would like to set it up with a firewall and vpn nut they are going to need a gui does the astaro have a gui?
any help would be great, THank you

    yes, our product does have a GUI.

    However, if your goal is to teach linux skills, you'd be better off with RedHat or Mandrake. Both are suited well for beginners. Our distribution is much too specialized to make a good learning environment.  [;)]
