VPN with IRE (Soft-PK) and/or PGP Net

Hy,

i am searching for a MS Winxx VPN-Client.
The prices of the two products who are discussed in the forum, are very different in pricing:

PGP Net (PGP Corporate Desktop) is about 458,- USD
Soft-PK (former IRE) is 99,- USD

PGP seems too expensive for only doing VPN with it (therefore it has several other interesting features, too).

Soft-PK seems to be the right product for that, but i have two questions:

1. Has anybody setup Soft-PK, working with Dial-Up-Connection on one side and an ASL with leased line on the other side ?
Does it work fine ??

2. Some users in the forum told that they downloaded and tested Soft-PK.
But on http://www.safenet-inc.com/ and http://www.soft-pk.com/ i cannot find any possibility to download a trial version.
Do i have to buy it and test then ?
Or does anybody have a link for me ?
