New Licensing

Hello ASTARO People

I've downloaded the new version of ASL, 1.795 and have seen that there is a new config point with "Licensing". Now I'm still privat user and would ask if I can still use your product for free? And if yes, is there a registry key for Privat users?? (don't like to see this "Evaluation Copy" Message in top of the WebAdmin interface...)

Else, tell me please where to purchase your product in Switzerland

    Hi,

    the license of ASL did NOT change, you are still allowed - and encouraged - to use it free for personal use.

    At this stage you will have to live with the "Evaluation" message in WebAdmin. We are working on a "Personal Use" message.

    We are just setting up an online shop where you can obtain a commercial license. I hope it goes online within the next few days. Until then, please contact sales@astaro.com to buy ASL for commercial purposes.

    It's not really that hard to fall in love with this product.... It is the only one around at this moment!! :-)

    It is a beast to install, but it is worth the investment in hardware and time!

    I just downloaded the 1.8 iso image, burned it, drove up to leeds and installed it. Took about 4 minutes to install, rebooted, logged-in by https and filled in all the boxes. whe-hey its working  [:)]ad.
