Bridge w FW support

Hello

I was wondering if Astaro linux. Have or will have support for bridge w FW support(Level-4). 

I want a box that opererates like a switch and have the functions of router.(not the routing part but QOS and FW). 
I want to be able to use firewall rules and bandwidth limitations per MAC, IP, protocol.
If DNAT is possible or frame diverting it´s a +.

    thanks for the question.

    Well i don't know if i am allowed to say, 
    but Yes we work on a bridging firewall solution that can do all that.

    I can not tell a release date, but it will be in the late second part of the year, but stay tuned we have other interesting features to come.

    Did you guys get any further with this?

    I have a number of projects which a bridging firewall would be perfect for.  I'm currently using OpenBSD 3 with pf for this, but I'd be happy to switch to ASL if it does the job.
