IPS Exceptions for Video Streaming

Hello Community,

I have noticed that if I turn off UDP flooding in the IPS video streaming, whether it be from Streaming services e.g. YouTube or Meeting services e.g. Zoom, immediately improve and there is no lag. When on, video almost becomes unusable.

I know there are plenty of articles around specific service exceptions, but is there a way to set up a blanket exception, or increase the number of packets allowed that can be used to allow everything.

Thanks in advance

Don

  • Hi Don and welcome to the UTM Community!

If you do #1 in Rulz, you will be able to see what's being blocked.  You will likely want to do a combination of excepting certain IPs/hosts and certain services as Vivek suggests.
