UTM120v5

Hello all,

I've received one of these that's had its Hard Drive removed. Has anyone tried installing any version of linux on it? I have ubuntu server installed, but the network ports remain unresponsive.

Ahh also is there any known reason why an SSD wouldn't work in place of the HD?

Hi Anthony and welcome to the UTM Community!

If you replace the hard drive with anything other than an identical drive and you want to run UTM, you will want to use the asg ISO, not the ssi.

UTM is based on SUSE Enterprise Linux.

Thanks for the reply, do we have any idea what the original HD in this thing was? Strangely enough I have it running of a USB stick at the moment.
