When will be again available UBB astaro.org?

Hi all,

No one probably does not have the courage to ask, but I would really like to know when will be astaro.org fully accessible?

I'm sorry, but I think that UBB is useless. Some queries and contributions are by themselves claim to be resolved, ( for example, the site-to-site IPsec tunnel between UTM v9 and XG ), etc ....

I do not think that this UBB is good for us and even less for Sophos. I still think that UTM v9 is where is (I mean the UTM market share), mainly thanks to the community which has long worked together with the developers of this product.

Surely someone will argue that astaro.org is still available. But did you ever find anything from the past? And what Copernicus Partner Beta, be sure it is completely inaccessible ....

  • I've been wondering about the old content at astaro.org as well. In a previous post it was said the content would be available last week, but even now there are still plenty of threads there that only have the first post, even though the topic list says there are multiple replies.

For example. Look at the endpoint forum:
    www.astaro.org/.../

Six posts down, you see one that says "Sophos Client Firewall" and indicates it has 5 replies. But when you click on the topic, there is only the first post, and none of the replies are there. That's not the only one. Maybe it's because some of those topic are old, but they still have answers and insight into getting UTM up and running.
  • Sorry for the delays (answering and getting the content back up). We are doing three things at the moment: 1) Bringing Astaro.org full *content* back online (but without the ability to post replies/start new threads. 2) Migrating the content from that forum to this community. 3) Working to improve the user experience on this community. For number one we hit a problem with the restore where only the first page of a thread was available. We're aware of the problem and working to correct by mid-week next week. Again, sorry for the delays.
  • Mark, I haven't been shy about sharing my thoughts on this. This is taking way too long.

In the very near future, this forum will devolve to a place where many fewer paying customers will help themselves than they did on the old User BB. The results will include a heavier load on Sophos Support, reduced effectiveness of your Support team because they were heavy readers of the User BB (though it's not good politics for them to point this out) and the loss of many formerly-dedicated customers.

Please tell your colleagues to read this thread to help them understand that all of you involved with this need to let the higher-ups know that you need more resources with more talent NOW. This is existential.

    Cheers - Bob
