HTTP Captive Portal Sophos SG210

Hello everyone,

When I config web protection feature, I used authentication via browser. But when I test in client, captive portal use HTTPS connection, this is trouble. In Sophos XG, we can switch to HTTP connection, but in SG vendor, I don't see that.

Help me plz! Thanks all

Hi BAlfson,

This isn't issue. I only want make sure, in SG model, captive portal can switch from HTTPS to HTTP connection? Like picture below:

Is this a question about Wireless Protection that I should move to that forum? Or is this about the User Portal?

Captive Portal is used to authentication when user access website. Captive Portal is concept of Sophos, right?

The only Captive Portal in UTM is associated with Wireless Protection and has nothing to do with Web Filtering. What does the Captive Portal do in XG - what purpose does it serve?
